Asprey Homes have the following commitments:

Renewal Energy Efficient Homes
The use of renewable resources is being incorporated into our homes in an effort to become less fossil fuel dependent and to reduce CO2 emissions.

All builders in England and Wales work under the Building Regulations which is made up of various elements. Of particular interest, in relation to the environment, is Part L which deals with energy efficiency. Part L has recently been revised making all builders introduce measures to improve energy efficiency.

Along with higher energy efficiency comes lower bills for our customers and high levels of comfort within our homes. Our design teams are constantly looking for ways of reducing carbon dioxide emissions reducing fuel consumption, whilst maintaining high levels of comfort. Elements of the structure are dealt with in differing ways, for example our windows are double glazed with the glass being fitted into frames of low thermal conductivity and special attention is paid to areas of potential cold bridging. A high level of insulation is achieved within the walls by the use of lightweight blocks on the inner skin with the cavity insulated with fibre particles.

Low energy lamps fitted to a number of rooms within the house in order to reduce energy consumption. These lamps provide as much light as a conventional bulb, but with less energy. As with lighting, the heating of the houses is carried out by efficient boilers. Comfort throughout the house is within the control of the occupants via, in many cases, thermostatic radiator valves.

Asprey Homes strive to ensure that their homes are in the upper section of this energy efficiency scale.
