Assisted Move Scheme

If you have found the Asprey home of your dreams, but have not yet been able to sell your existing home, our Assisted Move Scheme is the answer.

How the scheme works:

In the first instance, we will require two independent estate agents to appraise your property (one may be nominated by you and one by Asprey Homes) in order to establish a realistic asking price for your property based on market conditions at the time of reservation.

We will discuss their appraisals with you and provided agreement can be reached on a suitable asking price, Asprey Homes will pay your estate agent’s fees in full and your property will be placed on the market for sale at the agreed asking price.

A full Reservation Form will be completed with you for your desired property (to include your nominated solicitor’s details) and your signature will be required.

An assisted move fee of £500 is payable by cheque, which will be banked.

Your selected plot will be reserved for you for a minimum period of four weeks.

We will work with your estate agent in order to secure a proceedable purchaser for your property within the four week period and may extend this marketing period if appropriate. We will discuss this with you at that time.

If agreement cannot be reached regarding the asking price for your property, you will not be able to reserve your selected plot under the assisted move scheme and Asprey Homes will unfortunately not be able to pay your estate agent’s fees.

It should be noted that:

Should a subsequent purchaser wish to reserve your chosen property who is in an immediate position to proceed (for example: nothing to sell, cash buyer or sold subject to contract with chain complete) we will call you to establish your position and if you are not able to proceed then we reserve the right to accept a reservation on your nominated plot from the new purchaser.

If you wish, we will return your assisted move fee of £500 in full or if you prefer, we will retain this sum and keep your reservation in reserve.

If the new purchaser does not exchange contracts and you are subsequently in a position to purchase the plot, then we will revert back to your reservation. However, we reserve the right to judge all situations on an individual basis dependent upon circumstances pertaining at the time of the proposed exchange of contracts.

We will use our best endeavours to work with you and the appointed estate agent to achieve a timely sale of your property and therefore make your move to your new Asprey home a reality.
